Octopus and Quarter Moon

I wanted something a little rough looking to go with this because the octopus is so shiny. Didn't have anything that fit the bill which was the right size, and I wanted to make this a bit longer of a necklace. So I used groups of metal bead ends along with some blue E beads for the ocean angle.

I had three of these slides which I decided to use as center pendants, and have made several different necklaces with it. This was a softer one made for a friend who likes metal and stone in her jewelry.

Fandom Necklaces

Although a number of necklaces I make have themes, some are inspired by types of fandoms or specific ones.
Although I have made other steampunk pieces with more direct allusions to machinery, I wanted to go more elegant with this one. The Steampunk heart above was a wide pendant though, so I used wide beads in red for a chunky look. Then I added in various types of metal beads -- some small alternating color heart ones in the extension, and wide silver and brass ones to echo the pendant metals.

nacramamo but will continue sharing some older works here.These two are ones I made last year. During a store closing I'd picked up a bunch of slides at a discounted rate but I don't tend to make bracelets which work particularly well with them. Many had been sitting around for some time, so I decided to use them as pendants when possible.

The wire tree over the shell pendant was a great look, in part because it cut down the iridescence of the backing. I decided to go with some soft pale blue stone, and then copper birds to match the wire tree. I also added in some faceted fire polish coins to echo the light-catching of the pendant. Brightly Colored

Wore this one up top to a dentist appointment and the hygienist was enthusiastic about its colorfulness. The pendant on the bottom photo was a bookmark I was given. I don't read in paper for various reasons, and also don't like the kind that pin pages since it damages the books. It was a great color though, so decided to put it into a necklace. ( Read more... )

Not sure what they're actually called but the center in the compass pendant and the oval one have what seems like a multicolored foil interior that looks orange, green or both depending on the light. You can see the orange a bit above and mostly green below. ( Read more... )

Wood Discs and Amazonite Gold

Some short necklaces in brown and gold. Up top wood, amazonite and metal balls. Below the cut wood discs with glass studded metal beads and glass E beads. I had originally been thinking of this use for the wood discs until I found the pendant in my previous post.

Jun. 28th, 2025 08:15 amluna_moonHello all! I do all sorts of crafts, but recently I picked Kandi making back up! I used to make make singles back 10 or so years ago. I was always impressed by all the cool cuffs people would make, but I guess I never figured it out. Recently I checked out a newer-to-me queer group in my town and a few people there make Kandi! They had some really cool designs. A few people in the group are plural too, and make bracelets for their headmates. The whole thing made me really interested in picking it back up again!
I followed the tutorial on Kandi Patterns and changed around a few of the colors.
