Strawberry Cheesecake Yarn

That was a very drawn out project I spun mostly on my EEW Nano wheel over the course of a couple of months. The base is a merino colourway by Woolfiend, plyed with Cobuger Fuchsschaf (top right), black merino (bottom right), grey Corriedale (bottom left) and grey Gotland fibre - it turned out so nice, I am super pleased. Despite the variety of fibre, it came out all about the same weight

I've put it up for grabs over on Pillowfort for postage and a donation to Pillowfort! I love spinning but I can neither knit nor crochet :D I do weave, but most of my yarn goes to friends or into the donation hat.

I'd never considered dyeing your own yarn before, neat! I like the way yours came out. The top right color looks like it'd make for a cozy autumn sweater. 🍂

I didn't dye these - the red/yellow braids is from an indie dyer - they always have gorgeous fibre. The rest is mostly undyed or blended.
BUT I have been dyeing my own fibre with plants, to spin yarn for a tapestry out of.

Oh, I misunderstood. The buttery one you dyed came out nice! Kind of reminds me of those braided breads.

It does! And it's a beautiful colour, too, one of my favourites that I did. It's also great for getting greens with fibre that's been dyed yellow already, and you don't even need to heat it up. I followed Knotted Nest's instructions for the first run and then experimented a bit with just putting the beans and the fibre in a jar together (works just as well, only you can't eat the beans after).

The colours on the bottom right are fantastic. It reminds me of the lovely iridescent sheen of the scales on a snake.
